Cooperation between the Diocese of Kalavryta and the Municipality of Aegialia for the digital promotion of religious and cultural heritagetranslated

As part of the actions to highlight the religious and cultural heritage of Aegialia, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kalavryta and Aegialia, Mr. Ieronymos, visited the offices of the Holy Metropolis, the Deputy Mayor of Tourism, Mrs. Diamanto Vasilakopoulou-Kartsonaki, and the Deputy Mayor of Cleanliness, Greenery and Civil Protection and President of the Development "Corinthian" Association Mr. Nikolaos Karaiskos. During the visit, the Deputy Mayor of Tourism presented the new initiative of the Municipality, which concerns the construction and placement of special information signs with QR Code technology in Holy Monasteries, Holy Churches, historical buildings and monuments in the area. Through these signs, pilgrims and visitors will have the possibility, with the use of technology, to browse and obtain detailed information about the religious, architectural and historical elements of the Holy Monasteries, the Holy Churches and the monuments of Aegialia.
