With simplicity, the memory of Saint Sophia and her three daughters—Faith, Hope, and Love—was celebrated in the poor village of Magukie in Central Tanzania. The Divine Liturgy concluded at the Holy Church of Saint Sophia, with the blessing of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Arusha, Archbishop Agathonicus. The Divine Liturgy was served by priests from the Archdiocesan District of Iringa.
Before the conclusion, the Veneration of the Holy Icon took place, followed by a holy sermon, in which the life, unwavering faith, and witness of Saint Sophia and her daughters were proclaimed.
After the Divine Liturgy, a love-feast was served, offered by Mr. Hercules Demosthenes for the repose of Stella, as well as for her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.
