Chalastra celebrated its patron saint, Agios Athanasios Koulakiotistranslated

On Monday, September 7, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Nausis and Campania, Mr. Panteleimon, officiated and preached the divine word at the celebrating Holy Church of the Holy New Martyrs Athanasios and John of Koulakiots in Chalastra on the occasion of the feast of the patron and patron of the city, Saint Athanasios of Koulakiot. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence ordained the superior of the parish of Assumption of the Virgin Chalastra, Fr. Andreas Polychros.

Today we celebrate in the pericallium this church of Chalastra, the one dedicated to the two holy neomartyrs of our fellow citizens, Saint Athanasios and Saint John of Koulakiotes, the memory of the first of them, Saint Athanasios. And with us, not only Campania and our entire Holy Metropolis celebrates and celebrates, not only Thessaloniki, where the saint was martyred, and the Church of Christ on earth, but also the Church of the first-born triumphant in heaven.
