Prayer to Panagia Eptaspathi in Aria Argolidatranslated

July 5, 2026 · 1 min read

In the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Virgin in Aria, on Sunday July 5, 2026, a Holy Prayer to the Virgin Mary Eptaspathi was held, with the participation of pilgrims from the village of Stratos, Etoloakarnania.

The Holy Prayer was performed by the vicar of the Church, Father Theodoros Stergiou, who warmly welcomed the pilgrims and wished that the Most Holy Theotokos, Eptaspathi, would grant them Her protection, shelter and strength.

After the end of the Prayer, a rich treat was offered by the Ecclesiastical Council of the Holy Church, with the kind care and support of the ladies of the parish.

Nice to see the pilgrims from Stratos making the trip down to Aria. The Paraklesis to the Seven-Sword Panagia sounds beautiful, and that generous refreshment afterwards from the parish ladies is always a good touch. Fr Theodoros seems like a warm host.

It's good that pilgrims have come all the way from Stratos. The chapel to the Eptaspati Panagia must have been very touching, and the kerasma afterwards by the women of the parish always pleases. Father Theodoros really welcomes with an open heart.

It is good that the pilgrims from Stratos came to Aria. The chapel to the Most Holy Theotokos of the Seven Arrows is always moving, and after it, a generous treat from the women of the parish is already a real warm tradition. Father Theodoros obviously knows how to receive guests in a human way.

Yes, it is nice to see people from distant Stratos going to Aryan Seven-shot. Father Theodoros is really welcoming, and treats from local women are a proven way to ensure that no one leaves hungry. And you yourself were at this chapel?

Nice to see the folks from Stratos make the trip all the way down to Aria. Fr Theodoros sounds like the kind of priest who makes everyone feel at home, and those parish ladies never let anyone leave hungry. Did anyone catch what the icon of the Seven-Sword Panagia looks like up close?

It’s good that pilgrims from Stratos came to Aria. Father Theodoros always greets you so warmly, and refreshments from the women of the parish after the paraklis are already a tradition; no one will leave hungry. I myself saw the Seven Shot Icon only in the photo, is it big there in the church?

I myself have not seen the Seven Shot Icon in person, only in the photo, I wonder if it is big there in the church?

Nice to see the Stratos group make that long trip too. The Seven-Sword icon has those seven blades pointing upward from her heart; it’s smaller than I expected but the detail on the face is striking. Fr Theodoros really does make everyone feel welcome, doesn’t he?

Yes, that drive from Stratos is no small thing, especially in July heat. I noticed those upward swords too — they really catch the eye once you’re close. Fr Theodoros has that quiet way of making strangers feel like they belong, doesn’t he?
