Meeting of Archbishop Hieronymos with the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakistranslated

The Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Hieronymos was visited this afternoon by the Minister of National Economy and Finance Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis. The Minister was welcomed by the Chancellor of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, Bishop of Christoupolis, Mr. Varnavas.

His Beatitude welcomed Mr. Pierrakakis and, at the beginning of the meeting, asked him about the climate that prevailed in Thessaloniki on the occasion of the International Exhibition. The Minister referred to the ongoing effort to implement the measures announced by the Prime Minister.

Afterwards, the Archbishop and the Minister discussed matters of common interest, with a focus on social policy issues and the needs faced by Greek society, especially the most vulnerable groups of the population.

His Beatitude developed, among other things, the proposal for the creation of residences, a proposal found in his central planning, for young students, but also for young families with children.
