Maroneia and Komotini Panteleimon: The presence of Panagia is a beacon of hopetranslated

On Sunday, August 6, 2026, on the commemoration of the arrival of the Holy Icon of the Virgin Mary "AXION ESTI" from Mount Athos, in September 2022, a Vigil was held at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Virgin of Komotini. The Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Panteleimon, speaking to the faithful people on the occasion of the presence of the holy icon of the Virgin Mary, wished from the bottom of his heart that the Lady Theotokos would protect and strengthen everyone, giving health, peace and spiritual joy to families and our country.

He also emphasized that the presence of the Virgin Mary is a beacon of hope, consolation and sanctification for every tested person.

Yes, it's nice when the icon comes to us. I remember when he was in Skopje, the people stood in line all day to pray. May the Most Holy Mother of God protect us and grant us peace in our families, as Metropolitan Panteleimon said.
