The 3rd Family Camp is organized by I.M. Thebestranslated

July 16, 2026 · 1 min read

For the third time this year, the Diocese of Thebes will host the "3rd Family Camping Week" at the facilities of the Conference Center of the Diocese in I.M. Evangelistrias Aliartou. The three-day event will take place from 4/9/2026 to 6/9/2026.

We will spend a very beautiful weekend with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thebes Mr. Georgios and together with the children for whom nature and camping are never enough. With enlarged hearts we will listen to the word of God in the spiritual gatherings that will take place, we will attend church, we will be entertained and we will bond more as families and as a Fellowship.

Let this excursion be an opportunity to calm down our wild and nervous selves and through the sounds and colors of nature to get to know the Christ that we hide within us. We are waiting for you all, "says the Metropolis.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

The camp is only for married couples with or without children. Transportation to and from the conference center venue is by private means. The operation of the camp begins on Friday evening, September 4 (arrival time 5-6 pm) and ends on Sunday, September 4. The children will…

It’s good that they organize it for families with children. Our daughter is already an adult, she goes to university, but I remember how, as a child, nature and communication were always a joy for her. And the date September 4-6, 2026 is probably convenient before school.

It is nice that the activity is for married families with or without children. The date of September 4-6, 2026 is close to the start of schools, as Tatiana said, it could be a good opportunity before the routine returns. I have two sons in university, and if they were young, I would have thought of going with them.

Nice words, George, especially since the date is close to the beginning of the school year. I have two children in school, and I see it as a good opportunity to take advantage of before they return to books and assignments. If you have young children, I would ask you if you have tried the activities in Aliarto before?

Yes, this is just the thing for families with children, especially when nature is nearby. We have a son in elementary school, he also always liked to run on the grass and listen to the birds sing at camp. What university does your daughter study at?

Валентина Соколова
It's good that you remember these childhood joys. Our granddaughter is just at that age when nature in the camp is better than any gadgets. What university does your daughter study at, if it’s not a secret?

Thank you, Valentina, it’s good that my granddaughter is not yet addicted to gadgets. Here in Yaroslavl, too, many parents say that after going to the forest, children become calmer. What grade is your granddaughter in now?

Марина Комарова
Thank you, Alexander. We have a granddaughter in the fourth grade, she still stays away from the tablet, thank God. In Yaroslavl, which forest do you usually visit with children?

It’s good that my granddaughter still appreciates nature, Valentina. In our Sunday school, it is also noticeable how after such trips children spend less time on their phones. Where does your daughter study, in Krasnodar or has she left?

Our granddaughter is now in fifth grade, and yes, after the forest, she only draws trees and tents for a week. And my daughter has been in Milan for three years now, studying to become an economist at Bocconi University. I wonder what school your granddaughter attends, a regular school or a Sunday school?

In Rostov we usually go into the forest near Nedvigovka, it’s quiet there and there’s a river nearby. I’m glad that your granddaughter hasn’t gotten hooked on the tablet yet; my first-grader daughter is also running around the street more. Do you have a favorite place in Yaroslavl for such family outings?

Анастасия Воробьёва
Our granddaughter, too, after such trips for a week only draws nature, as if noticed. And he studies in a regular school, in the 6th grade now, plus he goes to our church on Saturdays and Sundays. And your daughter probably doesn’t come to Milan much anymore?
Н
Наталья Соколова
Our daughter rarely comes from Milan, but when she does, she immediately takes her grandson to the forest or to the lake - she says that after the city she only leaves there. Is your 6th grade granddaughter probably already baking something for Sunday school herself? Many people in our group start this way.

Надежда Васильева
Yes, they definitely noticed about the drawings after leaving - my daughter, at the age of 12, also painted trees and a river for a week. And now she almost never comes to Milan, work keeps her busy, but when she arrives, the first thing she does is take us to the Volga for a walk. What does your granddaughter like more in Sunday school: singing or just listening?
А
Анастасия Морозова
In Yaroslavl we most often go to Kotorosl, there is a sandy coast and a forest nearby, children love to pitch tents. I’m glad that you also have such a quiet place with a river in Rostov. Is your first grader already going to school or just getting ready?
В
Вера Васильева
Yes, after such trips, children definitely look at nature differently. My son at the university now also asks first of all when we will get out into the forest, although before he spent more time on the phone. What is your daughter doing in Milan, if it’s not a secret?
М
Максим Иванов
In Novosibirsk we also try to choose places with a river so that children can run around without gadgets. I’m glad that your first-grader is still running around the street; my little sister at the same age also loves the forest. In Rostov, is it often possible for the whole family to go there?
М
Марина Комарова
Our granddaughter also spends a week after camp only drawing nature with pencils and paints. In 6th grade, she already bakes cookies for Sunday school, but most of all she loves to sing in the choir. Does your daughter come from Milan at least for Christmas?
