With ecclesiastical order and splendor, on Saturday August 15, 2026, the great Theodoric Feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated in Nikisiani Pangaio. On Friday, August 14, in the evening, the Solemn High Priestly Vespers was held, presided over by the Theophilist Bishop of Tanagra, Mr. Apostolos, supported by priests of the Holy Metropolis.

Before the end of Vespers, the procession of the Holy Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos took place through the streets of the town, with the participation of a large number of pious believers.

Before the dismissal, His Holiness Mr. Apostolos addressed the hundreds of devout pilgrims with fatherly words and, on the occasion of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, he referred to the deeper meaning of the great Theotokos Feast and the place of the Virgin Mary in the life of the Church, urging the faithful to always resort with faith and trust to Her maternal protection and Her embassies to the Son and God Her.
