CONCERT OF THE STATE ORCHESTRA OF ATHENS AT THE HOLY MONASTERY OF PANORMITOS SIMItranslated

On the evening of Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Holy Monastery of Panormitou had the pleasure and honor of welcoming the oldest and most emblematic symphonic ensemble of our country, the State Orchestra of Athens, whose music ensemble, the Woodwind Quintet, performed under the historic Kodonostasio, on its waterfront with great success, Concert dedicated to Greek Lyric Song.

This special musical event hosted by the Monastery of Panormitis, with the prompting and blessing of Rev. Our Pastor, Metropolitan of Symi, Mr. Chrysostomos, took place in the context of the 10th "Mousikos - Festival of N. Aegean" and admittedly offered the attendees a rare experience, intertwined with the high notes of classical and artistic musical creation and the spiritual imprint of Panormite. The impressions were "stolen" by the excellent interpretations of the invited artists, the altophonist Vasias Zacharopoulos and the baritone Spyros Kleissas, as well as the leading pianist Nikos Kouros, who took part in a friendly way, especially in this particular Panormitis concert, as he has been associated with the Monastery of Our Archangel.
