The Archdiocese of Andravida celebrated a Scientific Symposium on Patriarch Ioakim the Great at Thessalonikitranslated

On Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, 2026, a Scientific Symposium was held in Thessaloniki with the theme "Patriarch Ioakim the Great and the Challenges of His Epoch." The Symposium took place at the Amphitheater of the Patriarchal Institute of Patristic Studies and at the Auditorium of the Holy Metropolitan City of Thessaloniki.

At the opening, a message was delivered by His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew I, while greetings were extended by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Vladyka Filotheos.

The sessions developed into four meetings, in which the following speakers participated:

First Session: Metropolitan of Mytilene and Kastellioi, Vladyka Apostolos; Metropolitan of Andravida, Vladyka Andreas; Metropolitan of Seleucia, Vladyka Theodosios; Great Church Chancellor, Vladyka Aetios Nikiforos; Archimandrite Timotheos Railakis Branas.
