Timothy of Thessalio: "Two empty tombs reveal the mystery of salvation"translated

With reference to the special spiritual character of the month of August, the Reverend Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon, Mr. Timotheus, began his sermon during the Vespers and the Holy Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary, which were celebrated on the evening of Monday, August 3, 2026, in the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi in the local community of Molochas. As he mentioned, our holy Church, during the period of summer rest, invites all the faithful to experience a different reality, through the holy Masses and Supplications to the Virgin Mary. He underlined that the whole of August is a Mother of God month, dedicated to the person of the Mother of God, offering the opportunity to every Christian to get to know her mystery more deeply and to deepen in spiritual life.

He then developed the theology of the Church around the person of the Virgin Mary, pointing out that her mystery is not something hidden or inaccessible, but is revealed to man who struggles spiritually, through the teaching of the holy Fathers.
