Smyrna: First celebration of the Synod of Saints of Smyrnatranslated

On Sunday, September 27, 2026, for the first time in the Metropolitan Church of the Dormition of the Virgin of Smyrna, the feast of the Synod of "All the Shining Saints in Smyrna" was celebrated for the first time, which was established by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Smyrna Mr. Bartholomew to be celebrated on the first Sunday after the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian. At the request of the Venerable Saint of Smyrna, The service of the feast was prepared by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rhodes, Mr. Kyrillos, who, responding to the invitation of the relevant Pastor, went to Smyrna, after the Theophilest Bishop of Olympos, Mr. Kyrillos, and presided over the Triarchate Divine Liturgy, blessed the Artoklasia and the Huts of the Saints and preached the divine word.
