Ladies' Camping Three Days from the Metropolis of Dramatranslated

September 5, 2026 · 1 min read

The Ladies' Camping Weekend of the Holy Metropolis of Drama is an institution of spiritual uplift, which this year will take place from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27, at the hospitable camping facilities, in the Countryside of Kato Nevrokopi. This initiative aims to provide women of all ages with a meaningful spiritual oasis, away from the hectic pace and care of everyday life. The Holy Metropolis of Drama seeks to create a place of meeting, prayer and common walk, where the modern woman can find support, guidance and inspiration for her own daily struggle within the family and society. The program is free of charge and the costs are borne by the Holy Metropolis of Drama. Entries: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/13s2bgv5KbbYJV9X-qWOCQAbrdtoYkaPWsxM7apz_ChY/edit

Will there be some cake baking workshops or maybe a talk about how women balance family and church life? It sounds nice that it is free and that the Metropolis covers everything, I would really like some moms from our parish to go. Thanks for sharing.

The facilities in Exochi, Kato Nevrokopi, seem like a very good idea to me, because the mountain air always helps to truly disconnect. Hopefully there will be some cooking workshop or conversation about how to balance family and parish life, as Milica says. Thanks for sharing it, let's see if any moms here can go.

It is a good thing that the metropolis pays for everything, because many women simply would not be able to go. The place in Exokha, in the mountains, is really suitable - fresh air and silence, just for a little rest. I wonder if there will be a conversation about how to combine family and church life, as Milica and Teresa write.

Sounds like a peaceful spot up in the mountains at Exochi. I hope they do have a talk about balancing family and church life, like Milica, Teresa, and Юрій mentioned — that’s the part I always wrestle with. Free is even better; maybe I’ll share the link with a couple of the ladies at our community center.

I'm glad that the Metropolis covers all the expenses, as Юрій also says, because many mothers with small children would not be able to afford it otherwise. The place in Exochi, in the mountains, sounds restful, just what we need after the rhythm of the hospital and home. I hope there will also be a discussion about how we reconcile the family with the parish life, so that I can also tell the story at our youth group.
