Tripoli: Hymns to the Virgin resounded inside the Penitentiarytranslated

On the morning of Monday, August 10, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Mantineia and Kynouria Mr. Epifanios visited the Penitentiary of Tripoli, continuing in practice the special pastoral care of our local Church for the prisoners and all those who minister in the sensitive area of the penitentiaries. During his visit, His Eminence performed the Mass of the Holy Prayer to the Most Holy Theotokos, in the presence of prisoners, the Management and employees of the Store.

In the oppressive atmosphere of the days of the Fifteenth of August, hymns to the face of Our Lady echoed inside the Penitentiary, conveying a message of consolation, hope and spiritual freedom to the people experiencing the ordeal of incarceration.

His Eminence prayed especially for the prisoners and their relatives, for their strength and patience, as well as for the Directorate, the prison officials and all the workers, who daily carry out a difficult and highly responsible task.
