Metropolitan of Petra: The Fourth Ecumenical Council clarified the truth from the fallacytranslated

On Sunday July 19, 2026, in which the memory of the Holy 630 God-bearing Fathers who gathered in Chalcedon in the year 451 and established the Fourth Ecumenical Synod was commemorated, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Petra and Herronissos, Mr. Gerasimos officiated in the Catholic Church of the Holy Patriarchal and Cross Monastery of Keras Kardiotissis Plain. Thank you, Polina, for mentioning the life of St. Leo the Great - in our family we just recently re-read his letter to Flavian, it is very clear about two natures. In our monastery we don’t have any special traditions in honor of Chalcedon, just at the liturgy on this day the troparion to the fathers is always sung and an excerpt from the Acts of the Council is read. Do you often study the lives of such saints in your group?
