Paul of Corinth at the feast of Agios Kosmas of Aitolos in the Holy Monastery of Philotheos on Mount Athostranslated

On Sunday, September 6 (August 24 according to the Old Calendar), the Holy Monastery of Philotheus of Mount Athos celebrated with the appropriate order of holiness and sanctity the memory of the Holy Hieromartyr and Co-Apostle Cosmas of Aitolos, who renounced and practiced in this historic Monastery. The dean of the liturgical events of the festival, following the noble invitation of the Panosiology Professor of the Holy Monastery of Philotheou, Archim. Nikodemou, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Corinth Mr. Pavlos.

His Eminence arrived at the Holy Monastery at noon on the eve of the feast, where he received a warm and cordial welcome from the Professor and the brotherhood, according to the patriarchal order.

In the afternoon, the Little Vespers was celebrated, followed by a monastic banquet. Later, the Solemn Vigil began, which included the Great Vespers, the Liturgy, the Orthros, the Hours and the Divine Liturgy, presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Pavlos, as well as the blessing of the altars in honor of the celebrated Saint.
