Cleric of the Sofia Metropolis on holidaytranslated

On a fifteen-day holiday, which begins today, July 29, 2026, the Holy Diocese of Sofia appointed its cleric. As mentioned in her announcement, the punishment concerns "behavior incompatible with the priestly rank and monastic vows of obedience" as well as for undermining the ecclesiastical norms of the local Church.

The announcement states that: "After an attempt was made to serve the order to Archimandrite Nikanor Miskov by three clerics of the Diocese of Sofia at the Monastery of his repentance and his ascertained absence from the Monastery without the blessing of the Metropolitan of his province, the cleric was notified by phone of the imposed punishment".
