The Archbishop remembered his student years during the Consecration at the University of Athenstranslated

The Consecration for the start of the new academic year was performed this morning in the Old Hall of the Senate of the University of Athens by the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Jerome. The Rectors' Authorities, the Presidents and Vice-Presidents of the Departments, the Deans of the Faculties, Professors and members of the University's administrative staff were present.
The Archbishop was accompanied by the General Hierarchal Commissioner of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, Protopresbyter Fr. Emmanuel Papamikroulis, the Hierodeacon Fr. Ioannis Karpasinos and the Director of the Press Office Mr. Haris Konidaris.
After the Consecration, the Archbishop wished everyone a good academic year, strength and health. "I wish and pray that it strengthens all you Professors, who hold in your hands the Education of our youth, in your very important work for the good of our country, for the good of our Homeland", he said characteristically.
The Archbishop, in fact, particularly moved, referred to his personal academic journey at the EKPA, both as a student and as a Speaker, emphasizing that he spent extremely fruitful, creative and mature years of his youth at the University...
