"Anniversaries and personalities of the Greek Revolution": Panhellenic Student Short Film Competitiontranslated

The General Secretariat of Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Religions and Sports and the Special Synodal Committee on Cultural Identity of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece are organizing a pan-Hellenic student competition to create a short film (video) on the theme: "Anniversaries and personalities of the Greek Revolution" on the occasion of the completion of 200 years of historical events, such as the heroic death of Georgios Karaiskakis, the election of Ioannis Kapodistrias as the first Governor of Greece and the historic victory of the heroic Monks of the Great Cave against Ibrahim.

Until February 25, 2027, 2nd and 3rd high school students from all over Greece can participate in the competition, individually or in groups of up to three people, under the supervision of a teacher.

The awardees will take part in an educational program, which includes an educational visit to Kalavryta and a ceremony to award awards.

During the current school year, students are asked to create a short film (video), inspired by one of the following great figures of our nation's heroic struggles:
