Ordination of a new Presbyter in the Diocese of Florinitranslated

On Sunday II Luke, October 4, 2026, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Panteleimonos of Florina, the Orthros and the High Priestly Divine Liturgy were celebrated, officiated by the Reverend Metropolitan of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia, Mr. Irenaios. The High Priestly Divine Liturgy was attended by the Member of Parliament of Florina Mr. Stavros Papasotiriou and the Deputy Mayor of Florina Mr. Konstantinos Rozas, while a large number of believers participated.

During the Eucharistic Synagogue, Deacon Georgios Konstantinopoulos was ordained as an Elder.

Before the ordination ceremony, Metropolitan Mr. Irenaios addressed paternal mortgages to Fr. George, having as his starting point the Gospel verse of Sunday and especially the exhortation of Christ "Be ye righteous."

His Holiness emphasized that today begins a new course of ministry, with more responsibility and more love. He urged him to always maintain the freshness of his Priesthood and to never allow the Holy to become a habit and the ministry a daily routine.

Congratulations to Father George on his consecration! I remember the words of the metropolitan, so that the sacred does not turn into routine - this is definitely the most difficult thing in the parish. I wonder how he will serve in such a large church, where there are always a lot of people.
