On Saturday, September 5, 2026, the Great Solemn Vespers was held at the celebratory Holy Monastery of Taxiarchus Michael of Panormitos Symi on the feast of the miracle of the Archangel Michael in Chonai, patron of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Smyrna Mr. Bartholomew. The relevant Pastor, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Symi, Tilos, Chalkis and Kastellorizo, Mr. Chrysostomos, and the Theophilus Bishop of Rodostolo, Mr. Antonios, were present to pray.

The feast of the Archangel at Panormitis always draws a good crowd. Nice to see Metropolitan Bartholomew from Smyrna leading the vespers there this year, with the local bishop Chrysostomos and Bishop Antonios praying alongside. Symi must have been packed last Saturday.
