Archimandrite Nikolaos Ioannidis at the 1st General Priestly Synod of the Metropolis of Thessaly and Phanariophersalontranslated

By the grace of the Holy Triune God, the 1st General Priestly Synod of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon was held yesterday, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Saints Constantine and Helen of Karditsa. The Synaxis is an important institution of every local Church, as it enables the Bishop and the Clergy of the Holy Metropolis to meet, communicate, exchange opinions and discuss issues concerning the pastoral and general ministry of the Church.

The day began with the Orthros Service and the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Metropolitan Church, in which our Most Reverend Metropolitan presided and the Clergy of the Holy Metropolis participated.

This was followed by the opening of the 1st General Priestly Synod and the greeting of the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Timotheus, who referred to the importance of God's grace for the ministry of the clergy, on the occasion of the apostolic reading of the day.
