The first day of the visit of the Archbishop of Finland Elias to Lithuaniatranslated

On September 16, the visit to Lithuania of the Most Reverend Archbishop of Helsinki and All Finland Mr. Ilias, who is accompanied by a delegation of the Union of Orthodox Clergy of Finland, began. Together with the clergy from Finland, priests of the Apostolic Orthodox Church of Estonia and the Orthodox Church of Ukraine arrived in Lithuania. On the first day of the visit, His Holiness and members of the delegation visited the Center of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Lithuania in Vilnius. There they were welcomed by the Theophilus Bishop of Tamasos Mr. Panaretos, Patriarchal Exarch of Lithuania, and the clergy of the Exarchy.

The guests were informed about the life of the Exarch, as well as about her pastoral, educational and social work. During the fraternal talks, experiences from the life of the Churches of the various countries were exchanged and contemporary pastoral challenges were discussed, as well as the possibilities for further cooperation. The meeting was a living testimony of the fraternal society and unity of the Orthodox of Finland, Estonia, Ukraine and Lithuania.
