Lemnos: Historical commemoration event for the 200th anniversary of the Exodus of Messolonghitranslated

The event of grateful historical memory and national vigilance, on the occasion of the completion of 200 years since the heroic Exodus of the Holy City of Messolonghi (1826-2026), was crowned with great success, which took place, in kind cooperation of the Holy Metropolis of Lemnos with the 88th Military Command of Lemnos and the University of the Aegean, on Saturday, October 3 2026, in the afternoon, in the "Garofallideio" Building, in Myrina, whose central hall was flooded by people of all ages, in order to pay, in this way, the due tribute to all those heroic and unsullied figures of Messolonghi, who stamped with their blood the history and struggles of the National Palinges of 1821. The focus of the special event was the screening and presentation of the historical documentary of the Honorable Mr. Lilas Papadimitriou, Philologist and Deputy Mayor of the Administration of Museum Infrastructures and Historical Memory of the Municipality of Kifissia, entitled "Mesolongi - Lighthouse of Freedom, Sacrifice and Pride - Messolongi, the Blessed Fighting Soul of Nations".
