It's good to see Metropolitan Anthony taking the time to visit Sheikh Ali Ghazawi in person with his priests, especially on the same day as Bishop Joseph. That kind of concrete solidarity in a moment of loss says more than words. May God give the sheikh's family comfort.

It’s good that Metropolitan Anthony came personally with a whole group of priests, and didn’t just call. And the fact that on the same day the Maronite Bishop Joseph was there is also relevant. At such moments, it is clear that in Zahle people truly support each other, and not just with words.

The personal visit of Metropolitan Antonios with his priests, precisely when the Maronite bishop Joseph was there, shows something real. It is not just words, but a concrete gesture on the day of loss. Condolences to the Sheikh's family.

Yes, it's the personal visit that counts — turning up with your clergy on the same day as the Maronite bishop shows the solidarity isn't just talk. In our own parish we've seen how these moments cut through all the usual divisions here. May his father rest in peace.
