Memorial of the fallen Asia Minors in Neapoli Thessalonikitranslated

On Sunday, September 20, the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Philotheos, officiated at the Cathedral of the Holy Forerunner of Neapolis, following a fraternal invitation from the local Pastor, Metropolitan of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Mr. Barnabas, who was absent on an ecclesiastical mission. Collaborating with His Eminence were the Archimandrite Fr. Ioannis Peristeridis, Proto-Secretary of the Holy Metropolis of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, the vicars of the Cathedral and the Most Reverend Archpriests Fr. Papadopoulos, cleric of the Metropolis of Thessaloniki.
Before the dismissal, the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki preached the divine word, referring to today's gospel passage, as well as to our sleeping brothers Greek Asia Minor, who breathed their last in the holy lands of Asia Minor and to whom our Church has dedicated the Sunday after the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-giving Cross.
Afterwards, the High Priestly Memorial Service was held in favor of the blessed memory and eternal rest of the souls of our sleeping fathers and brothers of Asia Minor.
