The Archdiocese of America donated a vehicle to the Penteli Volunteer Fire Departmenttranslated

On the morning of Friday, July 17, 2026, the ceremony of the Consecration of a new vehicle, which is a kind donation of the Holy Archdiocese of America to the volunteer fire department of Penteli, took place. The Consecration was performed by the Most Reverend Archbishop of America, Mr. Elpidophoros, while the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Penteli and Director of the Orthodox Center of the Church of Greece, His Eminence Metropolitan of Thermopylae, Mr. Ioannis, attended the ceremony. Officials of the Fire Service and representatives of the State were also "present", honoring this initiative and strengthening the spirit of cooperation.

This donation is practical proof of the Church's constant care and contribution to society, especially in matters of protecting the natural environment and dealing with fires. At a time when fire protection needs are particularly high, such actions substantially strengthen the work of volunteers and contribute to the safety of citizens.

It is good that the Church helps specifically. The new vehicle will be needed by the Pendeley volunteers, especially now that fires are more frequent. Bless the efforts of all involved.
