Patriarchal Divine Liturgy for the Collecting of the Relics of Saint Seraphim of Saroftranslated

On August 1, 2026, on the feast of the collection of the relics of St. Seraphim of the miraculous Sarov (1903), His Beatitude Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Mr. Cyril visited the Holy Trinity Monastery of Divijevo. In 2026, Divejevo Monastery will celebrate several anniversaries: the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Mylon Community, the 35th anniversary of the second finding of the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, and the 35th anniversary of the resumption of monastic life.
His Beatitude went to the monastery's Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior, where he venerated the holy relics of Saint Seraphim, which, according to established tradition, were brought from the Holy Trinity Cathedral and placed behind the Holy Altar before the service.
Afterwards, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the courtyard in front of the Transfiguration Cathedral.
According to the Central Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, about 7,500 believers gathered for the Patriarchal Divine Liturgy in the courtyard of the monastery in front of the Transfiguration Cathedral.
