The Corinth Diocese honored the National Martyrs of the Asia Minor Disastertranslated

On Sunday September 20, 2026, the Sunday after the Elevation of the Holy Cross, the day on which our Church commemorates the National Martyrs, Hierarchs Agios Chrysostomos of Smyrna and those who were with them undone during the Asia Minor Disaster of 1922, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Corinth, Mr. Pavlos, officiated at Orthros and performed the High Priestly Divine Liturgy Liturgy at the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos Ionia (Neighborhood) of Corinth. After the end of the Divine Liturgy, a memorial service was held for the repose of the souls of those who were undone during the Asia Minor Disaster, followed by a speech about the life, testimony and martyrdom of the Holy National Martyr Chrysostom of Smyrna by the Director of the 4th Gymnasium of Corinth, Mr. Mario Georgiadis.
