Fire in Paros: The Holy Monastery of Agioi Theodoros was evacuatedtranslated

The nuns were safely removed from the Holy Monastery of Agioi Theodoros in Paros, as the fire that broke out in the area of Trypitis is ongoing. 45 firefighters, two groups of pedestrians and ten vehicles participate in the extinguishing operation, while forces of the Greek Police are assisting in the preventive and safe evacuation of residents.

The flames reached close to the monastery, as a result of which police and firefighters proceeded to remove the monks. At the same time, holy icons were also moved from the Monastery to a safe place.
