New English-Romanian Akathist to Saint Herman of Alaska Published by the Department of Publications of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America
The Department of Publications of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America has published a new bilingual edition of the “Akathist to Saint Herman of Alaska and a Brief Life / Acatistul Sfântului Gherman din Alaska și Viața pe Scurt,” in English and Romanian.
The volume was published in August 2026 with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America and was prepared especially for the 94th Annual Congress of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, to be held September 10–12, 2026, in the Miami area of Florida.
On the occasion of the 94th Annual Episcopate Congress, a fragment of the holy relics of Saint Herman of Alaska will be brought from the Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America in the Washington, D.C. area.
