Kozino, on the Kashinka River — the homeland of Saint Macarius of Kaluzhsk. The saint was born into the boyar family of Kozins — Vasily and Irina — named Matfei. The parents of Matfei, Vasily and Irina, died in 1424 from the plague and were buried in the village of Kozino in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos
