Jubilant Moment at the Parish of Schitul Maicilor: 300 Years Since the Consecration of a "Split Church by Translation"translated

The Parish of Schitul Maicilor celebrates, from September 27-29, 2026, three centuries since its consecration. The church of this liturgical community was described by the Late Father Patriarch Daniel as being "split by translation" when it was built into the new Civic Center under the orders of dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu.

On Sunday, September 27, at the parish church located on Str. Mitropolit Antim Ivireanul nr. 47 in the Capital, a special liturgical program will be celebrated. Morning services begin at 08:30, and the Holy Liturgy starts at 10:30.

The Delegate of the Late Father Patriarch Daniel will be Archimandrite Policarp Chițulescu, who is also the Patriarchal Counselor and Director of the Holy Synod Library.

On Tuesday, September 29, at 17:00, the Holy Synod Library will host a symposium and photography exhibition dedicated to the Church and Settlement "Schitul Maicilor."
