His Holiness Father Seraphim, the Metropolitan of Germany, Central and Northern Europe, urged the Romanian believers in Heidelberg, Germany, to attend the Holy Liturgy every Sunday, stressing that "it is not man's day, but God's".
On Sunday, the Metropolitan officiated the Holy Liturgy in the "Holy Trinity" Parish in the German city and highlighted in the sermon the duty of every Christian to participate in the liturgical life.
"Make it a habit to come to church regularly! Everything good is learned and done at first with effort, until it becomes second nature."
Speaking about the fruits of a steadfast liturgical life, His Eminence evoked the examples of believers for whom participation in the Holy Liturgy had become the greatest joy: "This is where we must all arrive, my dears. Let each of us arrive to say: Lord, I can no longer live without the Liturgy."
