His Holiness Father Andrei, Metropolitan of Cluj, Maramureș and Sălaj, on Monday consecrated new bells for the Cășiel Monastery in Cluj county, on the occasion of the patron saint of the monastic settlement.

The five bells were made this year at the "Blotor" Foundry in Satulung, Maramureș county. After the consecration service, His Holiness Father Andrei officiated the Holy Liturgy.

"Remembering death, judgment, heaven and hell, these four nails should keep us, from a spiritual point of view, nailed to the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, that by crucifying us against all our sins and transgressions in the world, He saves us", said His Eminence.
