On August 18, a meeting of the Diocesan Council of the Vyborg Diocese was held at the Vyborg Diocesan Administration. The meeting was chaired by Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, head of the St. Petersburg Metropolis, temporary administrator of the Vyborg diocese.

Its members and invited participants took part in the work of the council. The meeting was attended by dean of the church districts of the Vyborg diocese: dean of the Vyborg district Archpriest Igor Aksenov, dean of the Kudrovsky district Archpriest Vladimir Dankovich, dean of the Toksovsky district Priest Andrey Morozov, dean of the Vsevolozhsk district Priest Dimitry Chuev, dean of the Priozersk district Archpriest Sergiy Belkov and dean Roshchinsky district Archpriest Dionisy Kholodov.

One of the items on the agenda was the creation in Vyborg of a church history museum dedicated to the life and works of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus', in connection with preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church. The chairman of the diocesan missionary department and cultural commission, Priest Mikhail Kotov, spoke about the work being carried out.
