I remember reading how that Georgian icon travelled all the way north to the Krasnogorsky monastery and became such a big part of life up there. It’s good to see Metropolitan Kornily serving the vigil for it. Our choir sang the troparion to the Georgian icon last year — the melody is quite simple but it always sticks with you.

I remember that same story about the icon's journey north — it really took root up there, didn't it? Our small choir tried the troparion too last summer at the monastery feast, and you're right, that melody stays in your head for days. Did you sing it in English or Church Slavonic?
