During the service, an akathist was read to the martyr John the Warrior, a prayer was read to the saint, and glorification was sung to him. Metropolitan Alexy anointed the parishioners with blessed oil. At the end of the service, Bishop Alexy congratulated the parishioners on the celebration of the memory of the martyr John the Warrior. “Through the prayers of Saint John, may the Lord protect us all and grant us sobriety of mind, chastity, and firmness in the faith. In these difficult times, when many temptations distract us from eternal life and thoughts about God, it is especially important to be faithful to Christ,” said Bishop Alexy.
