Dobrești Monastery, founded by Patriarch Daniel, honored its patron: What is the status of the workstranslated

The Dobrești Monastery in Timiș County, founded by the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel in his birthplace, honored its patron on Monday. The liturgy on the day of commemoration of St. Pror. Ilie was officiated by His Holiness Father Paisie Lugojanul, Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Timisoara. The parents of the Patriarch Daniel, Alexie and Stela were mentioned at the service.

In the teaching speech, the Reverend Father Paisie emphasized the importance of preparation for receiving the Holy Mysteries and showed that it begins before the Holy Liturgy, by reading the Canon of Communion, by prayer and by watching over one's own thoughts and continues after communion, by keeping a clean life, so that the grace received through the Holy Mysteries bears fruit as much as possible in the lives of the faithful.

At the same time, the hierarch evoked the life of the Holy Prophet Elijah and highlighted his sacrifice, steadfast faith and the power of his prayer. His Eminence recalled both the sacrifice made on Mount Carmel, through which God showed the truth of the prophet's faith, and the resurrection of the widow's son from Sarepta of Sidon.

Thanks for the article. I am glad that Bishop Paisios spoke about the preparation before Holy Communion with the Rule and prayer, this is what many of us need. I hope that the work on the monastery will proceed quickly, it is nice that Patriarch Daniel built it on the place of his parents.

Thanks for the article. It is good that Bishop Paisius emphasized the reading of the Canon before Communion and how to keep clean after it - we all really need this. I wonder at what stage the construction in Dobrest is now, whether it is already visible what the monastery will look like.
