The Wooden Monastery celebrated its patron saint: the Icon of the Mother of God is a bearer of gracetranslated

On Tuesday, Dintr un Lemn Monastery celebrated its dedication to the Icon of the Mother of God from the monastic settlement. His Holiness Father Irineu, Metropolitan of Oltenia, emphasized that "the icon is a carrier of grace, because it communicates from the person of the Mother of God".

The Holy Liturgy was officiated by Metropolitans Irineu of Oltenia and Naum of Ruse (Patriarchy of Bulgaria), together with Archbishops Teodosie of Tomis, Varsanufie of Râmnic; Bishops Andrei of Covasna and Harghita, Visarion of Tulcii; and Vicar Bishop Paisie Lugojanul of the Archdiocese of Timisoara.

It brings believers from all over Romania 7 hierarchs participated in the consecration of the Wooden Monastery from Vâlcea county. 21.07.2026. Sarah TaylorI remember reading about that icon years ago—how it’s been bringing people from all over Romania for healing and peace. Seven bishops at once is something special; must have been a powerful Liturgy. Thanks for sharing the photos from Râmnicu.
