"We understand the intercession that the Mother of God has for us, because she is the mother of our mothers and the face of the Church," said Metropolitan Laurentiu of Transylvania on Saturday, on the occasion of the dedication of the "Brâncoveanu" Monastery in Sâmbăta de Sus, Brașov county.

The liturgical program of the sanctuary began with the consecration of the icons of the Mother of God received as a gift by the community of the monastery and continued with the consecration of water at the well inside the monastic settlement.
