Local history meeting at the Karpinsky Museum: pages of the religious history of the citytranslated

On June 25, the fifth local history meeting took place at the Karpinsky Museum - it was part of a series of festive events dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the museum. The topic of the meeting was the religious life of Karpinsk in Soviet times. This layer of urban history remains complex and largely closed, and today it is especially important to carefully restore and comprehend it.

The central event of the event was the report of the rector of the Theological Vvedensky Cathedral, Priest Victor Elrich. In his speech, the priest presented the audience with a panorama of Karpinsk’s past: he spoke about the history of local churches and what the life of the Orthodox Church was like during the years of persecution. Father Victor’s story allowed us to take a fresh look at the fate of believers in difficult times - at how, under conditions of serious trials, faith was preserved and spiritual life was maintained.

Special attention in the report was paid to the Theological Cathedral of Karpinsk, an architectural monument of federal significance.
