A clergyman of the Samara diocese took part in the First All-Russian Conference of Military Clergytranslated

Assistant to the head of the department for interaction with the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies of the Samara diocese, Priest Mikhail Zhegalin, took part in the 1st All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference of Military Clergy. Gatherings of clergy caring for military personnel of the Armed Forces and the National Guard of the Russian Federation were held in Nizhny Novgorod. The large-scale event began with a congregational prayer during the Divine Liturgy in the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, which was performed by Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, and Bishop Elijah of Balakhna. During the service, a deep prayer was offered for the soldiers and for Holy Rus'. The official opening of the conference and the plenary session took place at the garrison club headquarters of the Volga District of the Russian National Guard.
