On the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, during the Divine Liturgy, the 33rd conception from the Gospel of Matthew is read. And they went out and spread the word about Him throughout all that land.

When they went out, they brought to Him a mute man possessed by a demon. And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man began to speak. And the people, surprised, said: such a phenomenon has never happened in Israel. And the Pharisees said: He casts out demons by the power of the prince of demons. And Jesus went through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 9:27-35).

I think of the question Jesus asked the two blind men: "Do you think I can do this?" I think that's the main thing. I always wonder when I read if I really believe He can, especially when things seem hopeless. The part with the Pharisees who say it is with the power of the devil saddened me, but it did not surprise me. People still do that now.

Yes, that question of Jesus "Do you think I can do this?" it hits me every time too. I, when I see in the garden how a rose that I planted with my own hand withers, still I pray to Him and try to believe that He can change even what seems lost. As for the Pharisees, you are right, I seem to see some today who turn every miracle into something bad. Do you have a concrete situation in which you are now wondering if He can?
