On the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, during the Divine Liturgy, the 33rd conception from the Gospel of Matthew is read. This passage tells about the healings that Jesus Christ performed, as well as the reaction on the part of the Pharisees to these blessings of God. The conception includes two parts: the healing of two blind people and the healing of a dumb demon possessed.

When Jesus walked from there, two blind men followed Him and shouted: Have mercy on us, Jesus, Son of David! When He came into the house, the blind came to Him. And Jesus said to them: Do you believe that I am able to do this? They say to Him: Yes, Lord! Then He touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith, so be it unto you.” And their eyes were opened; and Jesus sternly said to them: See that no one finds out. And they went out and spread the word about Him throughout all that land.

When they went out, they brought to Him a mute man possessed by a demon. And when the demon was cast out, the dumb man began to speak. And the people, surprised, said: such a phenomenon has never happened in Israel. And the Pharisees said: He casts out demons by the power of the prince of demons. And Jesus went through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people (Matthew 9:27-35).
