Inspired by Duolingo, Catholic missionary launches Creedo faith app
One day, while doing his daily Duolingo lesson, Catholic campus missionary Caleb Burbach had a realization: “Why can’t learning the Catholic faith feel this approachable?”
The epiphany inspired Burbach to eventually launch Creedo , an app that utilizes the format of the beloved language-learning platform Duolingo to gamify lessons about Catholic teaching.
Creedo’s platform includes digestible lessons about the sacraments, Mary, the Trinity, angels, demonology, social teaching, and more. According to Burbach, the app avoids reinterpretation and draws its content from Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and other classic Catholic works.
