In Memoriam: Matushka Helen Psinka

CAMPBELL, OH [DOM] – Matushka Helen Psinka, wife of the late Archpriest John F Psinka, fell asleep in the Lord Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Matushka Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Helen (Briczinski) Pasloskey, her sister, Nancy (Keith) Kolavick. Matushka leaves behind her four daughters: Tamara (David) Drummond, Kira (Louis) Rendes, Raissa Psinka, and Natalia (Michael) Simko, and two grandsons, Louis and John.

Matushka served beside her husband at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Campbell, Ohio for 28 years. She worked for a Doctor’s office, went to William Morris College, and was a secretary for the Russian Brotherhood Organization Lodge Number 32 for decades. Matushka Helen was an avid crafts woman, making homemade dolls, candles, and was known for her jams and jellies.

In lieu of gifts, donations can be made to The Transfiguration Monastery in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania in our Mother‘s memory.

Wednesday, September 30:

Holy Ghost Church, Ambridge PA

Calling hours 5-7, immediately followed by funeral service.

Thursday, October 1:

Economy Cemetery at 11:30
