In the Archdiocese of Buzău and Vrancea, over 200 priests and believers donated blood for the third time this yeartranslated

"St. Gheorghe" parish in Buzău held for the third time this year the "Donate! Your gesture counts!" campaign, which gathered over 200 priests and believers.

According to the diocese, the campaign managed to collect 94 liters of blood. 240 volunteers joined this action, of which 208 were able to donate.

"Through this act of deep Christian love, each donor has become a saving link in a chain of hope, personally writing a page of light in the healing story of those who will receive help," states a press release from the Archdiocese of Buzău and Vrancea.

The campaign took place in the second part of September and is part of the Romanian Patriarchy's national program, entitled "Donate blood, save a life!" , organized at the initiative and with the blessing of the Blessed Father Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

According to the most recent data since the program began in 2013, approximately 25,000 liters of blood have been collected from more than 42,000 donors.
