His Eminence Archbishop Alexander was present at the Dormition Orthodox Monastery Patronal Feast in Rives Junction Michigan

RIVES JUNCTION, MI — With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, on August 14–15, 2026, the Dormition of the Mother of God Romanian Orthodox Monastery in Rives Junction, Michigan, celebrated its patronal feast. This year, His Eminence Archbishop Alexander of Toledo and the Bulgarian Diocese of the Orthodox Church in America participated in the monastery’s patronal feast.
The two-day celebration gathered numerous clergy and pilgrims from the surrounding area and from several Orthodox jurisdictions, who came together in prayer to honor the Dormition of the Mother of God.
On Friday evening, August 14, the celebration began with Great Vespers, followed by Matins and the Lamentations to the Mother of God. The faithful joined the monastic community in prayer as the monastery prepared for the celebration of its patronal feast.
On Saturday, August 15, His Eminence Archbishop Alexander officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy, assisted by a number of priests and deacons. Clergy, monastics, and pilgrims filled the monastery for the feast, sharing in the liturgical celebration and fellowship that followed.
