Greek President Receives Melbourne Community President Vasilis Papastergiadis

President of the Hellenic Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas received Vasilis Papastergiadis, President of the Greek Community of Melbourne and Victoria, at the Presidential Mansion today.
During the meeting, Papastergiadis briefed the Greek President on the multifaceted work of the community, highlighting its contribution to the promotion of Greek culture and the preservation of the Greek language in Australia. He also outlined the organization’s future initiatives and strategic goals.
President Tasoulas expressed his best wishes for the continued success of Papastergiadis and the Greek Community of Melbourne and Victoria in their activities and outreach efforts.
He emphasized that strengthening the bonds between the Greek diaspora and the homeland, as well as expanding cooperation and exchanges between Greeks abroad and Greece, remains a longstanding priority for the Greek State.
