The photo exhibition “Liturgy with the Patriarch” will open in Gomel on July 27translated

At the Gomel Regional Philharmonic, with the blessing of His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, a photo exhibition “Liturgy with the Patriarch” will open - more than three hundred photographs and videos created over fifteen years at services and other events with the participation of Patriarch Kirill. The exhibition will be open from July 27 to August 15. Free admission.
The exhibition is structured as a route through the Divine Liturgy. Eleven sections guide the visitor through the service: “Meeting and Rite of Vestment,” “Antiphons,” “Little Entrance,” “Consecrations,” “Readings of Scripture,” “Offering of the Holy Gifts,” “Great Entrance,” “Anaphora,” “Communion,” “Consecrations and Prayers Related to the Liturgy,” and “Sermon.” The final section takes the story beyond the walls of the temple - into matters of enlightenment, mercy, education and culture.
The authors of the photographs worked in places where the gaze of a person praying usually does not fall. Therefore, even well-known moments of the service are rediscovered at the exhibition: the rite of vestment performed in the middle of the temple, concentrated faces reading Scripture, the silence of the sacrament.
The visit does not require any special preparation: the captions to the sections explain what is happening, and a leisurely walk along the entire route...
